The Donelli Group, established in 1911, has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience that enables it to professionally and efficiently tackle any adaptation, redevelopment, restoration and safety work on critical structures such as hydroelectric power plants.
We can act as a single point of contact, providing clients with a comprehensive service that avoids delays and problems associated with coordinating multiple parties.
Expert technicians, specialized labor, state-of-the-art equipment and an ISO 9001-certified management system are our recipe for carrying out any type of project.
Structural reinforcement – main features:
- High mechanical strength: carbon fiber has a tensile strength up to 5-10 times higher than steel while being significantly lighter.
- Low weight: the material is extremely light, ideal for interventions where additional loads on structures must be avoided.
- High durability: resistant to corrosion, humidity, chemicals and freeze-thaw cycles.
- Application on different materials: concrete, masonry, steel, wood.
- Flexible installation techniques: use of unidirectional or bidirectional fabrics impregnated on-site with epoxy resins (wet lay-up system) or preformed laminates.
- Minimal aesthetic impact: the reduced thickness of the reinforcements (a few mm) allows for non-invasive applications that are easily coated.
- Quick installation: much shorter installation times compared to traditional methods (e.g., steel plates).
- Localized and targeted interventions: suitable for reinforcing beams, pillars, vaults, intrados, structural nodes or modified openings.
- Seismic retrofitting: often used to improve the ductility and dissipative capacity of buildings in seismic areas.
