We are proud to share the second edition of Impresa Donelli’s Sustainability Report, a document that details not only our results and metrics but, above all, the path we are building as a company, day by day, in an increasingly complex and ever-evolving economic and geopolitical context.
2025 was a year marked by profound changes at the regulatory and international levels. The year began with great enthusiasm: the entry into force of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) in Italy seemed to confirm Europe’s commitment to taking a leading role in the global sustainable transition. At the same time, however, international geopolitical developments showed signs of significant disruption, highlighting how ESG issues are gaining momentum and taking on different priorities across various global economic contexts.
Even in Europe, over the course of the year, the debate gradually shifted toward the need to simplify the regulatory framework to safeguard business competitiveness. The Omnibus Package and the subsequent “stop-the-clock” measure introduced greater flexibility and extended deadlines for certain categories of companies, creating a climate of uncertainty and caution.
In this scenario, Impresa Donelli has chosen to stay the course. Our company operates in international contexts and is constantly exposed to the economic, social, and geopolitical changes that affect global markets. Participation in international cooperation initiatives, such as institutional meetings with Mozambique, demonstrates the Donelli Group’s commitment to looking beyond national borders and treating sustainability as a strategic element rather than mere regulatory compliance.
In fact, we believe that addressing environmental, social, and governance issues in a structured manner is now an essential factor in competitiveness and long-term value creation. This view is also supported by the growing attention that major players and customers are paying to these issues, which have become integral to supplier qualification and evaluation processes.
For us, “sustainability” is not a topic separate from business but an element that must be concretely integrated into business processes, operational decisions, and the organization’s everyday culture. With this conviction, we continued our ESG journey in 2025 with tangible and measurable actions.
On the environmental front, we sourced a portion of electricity from renewable sources at our construction sites and worked to improve energy efficiency, contributing to the reduction of Scope 2 emissions. On the social front, we continued to invest in skills development through the Donelli Academy, promoting skilled employment and professional growth pathways that directly integrate people into the company. At the same time, we have strengthened training programs focused on both technical and soft skills, including awareness-raising sessions on human rights and a culture of sustainability.
Significant attention was also devoted to occupational health and safety, an issue we consider a priority and essential. Throughout the year, we invested in preventive measures, hands-on training, and field simulations to foster a culture of practical safety that is widespread across all levels of the organization. Initiatives such as the simulation conducted at the Bissorte construction site are concrete examples of the commitment we strive to uphold every day.
This Sustainability Report chronicles an evolving journey marked by commitment, responsibility, and a drive for continuous improvement. It is a journey to translate ESG principles into concrete actions that are integrated into our daily operations and focused on creating shared value for all our employees, customers, partners, and the communities where we operate.
